Lisbon - October 9th 2017

Transparency International Portugal, within the framework of the Anti Match-Fixing Top Training (AMATT) project, has presented the study conducted on the perception and attitudes of Portuguese sportsmen on match fixing. The data presented correspond to the first phase of the project and result from the application of an anonymous and confidential questionnaire with the objective of generating an informative database that supports the understanding of the manipulation of results and the development of capable education / training programs to combat this problem effectively.

The perceptions of sports players are fundamental for understanding the phenomenon, namely its characteristics, particularities and main challenges.
